This site belongs to Oleksii Mykhalchuk, a software developer based in Trogir, Croatia. I am the one responsible for your data. Questions or requests go to oleksii@oleksi.dev.

What I collect

  • What you send through a form: your name, email address, your message and anything else you fill in. Also your IP address and browser details, so I can stop spam and abuse.
  • The Meta (Facebook) Pixel, only if you click Accept. It tells me which ads brought people to the site and whether they got in touch. Meta sets the cookies _fbp and _fbc. If you do not accept, nothing from Meta loads.
  • Server logs: your IP address, the pages you request and your browser details, kept for security.

Why, and on what legal basis

  • I use your form details to reply to you, and to discuss and carry out any work you ask for. This is a step you asked me to take before a possible contract.
  • I use spam protection and server logs to keep the site secure. This is my legitimate interest.
  • I use the Meta Pixel to measure my ads, and only with your consent.

I don't sell your data, and I don't add you to a mailing list.

Who else processes it

  • Google Workspace delivers form messages to my inbox. Google Fonts serves the site's typeface.
  • My hosting provider runs the server that hosts this site and the form.
  • Meta Platforms, only if you accepted the cookie. When you send a form after accepting, my server also tells Meta that a contact happened. It sends your email address (hashed, so it can't be read), your IP address, your browser details and the Meta cookie values, so Meta can link the contact to the ad you saw.

Some of these providers process data outside the EU/UK. When they do, they use the standard contractual safeguards for such transfers.

How long I keep it

I keep messages for as long as we are in contact, and longer if they become part of a project I must keep records for (invoices, contracts). I delete messages that lead nowhere when you ask, or after two years at most. Meta cookies expire after about 90 days.

Your choices and rights

You can change your cookie choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. You can ask me for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also object to how I use it. Just email me.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Croatia that is AZOP (azop.hr). In the UK it is the ICO (ico.org.uk). You can also go to the authority where you live.
